Lately, the price of STEEM has been bouncing around like a fat lady on a cowboy, sending everyone on a roller-coaster ride of highs and lows. As I look around on my scantily-clad feed I see less posting and engagement. Maybe people are just taking a little break to recharge, so it got me to thinking: "what can we do to stay up, when STEEM is down?"

Delegating like its 1999

One thing I wished I'd done much earlier is to delegate some of my SP. If you're going to spend some time away from the platform why not support your favorite bloggers by delegating to them while you're gone? Think of Steemit as a fertile field of mindful creatives you don't want to leave fallow for too long. This way you can plant little seedlings that will grow over time while helping others. I made my first (admittedly small) delegation to @actifit and love what they're doing in motivating other Steemians to live a healthier lifestyle. Please consider delegating to them while earning some AFIT tokens as a reward.

We're more powerful when we stick together...

Yet another thing to do is to follow curation trails on SteemAuto. I've joined TribeSteemUp and Actifit to upvote fellow members posts. This way, even when I'm not posting as often on Steemit, I can still support awesome content while earning curation rewards in my sleep. This is a much better use of our accounts instead of just letting them sit, so please consider doing the same.

There's incredible strength in numbers, and we all need to help each other and encourage one another. Steemit is like a snowball rolling downhill. Whenever we write a post or comment, delegate or follow a trail, we're all doing our part to help keep the ball rolling. We're still in the early days of this platform and the best is yet to come!
