Looking back into the mists of time... I first noticed Steemit in 2016 on Facebook when someone wrote about making $1000 on one post. If I had clicked that link, I'd be a wizened old Whale by now, dispensing huge upvotes to promising new users.
Sort of like when I played City Of Heroes back in the day and loved giving new players advanced buffs after I moved up in the ranks. I'd see some poor level 1 Tank about to be offed by some gang members and zap him with a long-lasting health buff and protective bubble as I flew by...

Eventually I ran into @jerrybanfield and @samstonehill - after I started watching their videos, everything clicked. What’s funny is you could say Facebook led me to YouTube which led me to Steemit.
I love it here and enjoy creating new content while interacting with my fellow citizens of Steemit Nation. What’s your story? How's it working out for you so far? Is Steemit everything you thought it would be?
