When I was pulled into steemit by @mark-waser, I wasn't really expecting it to go anywhere. I just didn't know (or care) enough about cryptocurrencies in general to think I'd ever have a shot at any sort of success. But thanks to all the interest from the steemit community, I actually started having some small successes after only a few posts. It's been a long road but today I hit a new milestone: 250 followers!
Thank you to the community for all your support and interest! It is so much fun to be part of such an active initiative and to be able to share my herpetological experiences with so many. To those of you just starting out, my best advice is to just be active and engage with your fellow members! There is so much more to steemit than just trying to make a quick buck! Virtually everyone I have interacted with has been incredibly supportive, offering valuable critiques and insights that simply aren't provided through other platforms! So thank you to everyone who has helped me get this far!
Next stop: 500 steemians!
