My friend stumbled upon this new form of self development. It seems very sectarian to me and I was wondering if anyone in the community had any experience with The 9th Dimensional Arcturian Council. Their mission statement is below. He is getting very deep into it and is pushing their message in our friend group. The teachings seem very enlightening but i feel like Heaven's Gate teachings were enlightening too. They claim to be aliens that are channeling humans from a distant star system.

Second-guessing yourselves will keep you in a state of guessing. You want to be in a state of knowing, and knowing is something that can be achieved through feeling. Second-guessing is what you do with your minds, but knowing actually goes beyond any mental process. Knowing is going with your gut. It is following your intuition, your instinct, and your impulse.
We invite you to listen to everything that is coming to you from within yourself and to let go of the opinions of others, the perspectives of others, and the influence of others. When someone comes to you and gives you that opinion that contradicts the knowing within you, it is in many ways an opportunity for you to choose. You can choose to trust yourself, to trust the alignment of energies that you feel within yourself, or you can choose to weigh the pros and cons and look at all of the possibilities in a very logical way.
We suggest that you also listen to your physical bodies. Your physical bodies are extensions of your energetic bodies, and your energetic bodies are capable of seeing beyond what you can detect with your five senses. So you will get a visceral experience that is telling you which direction you need to move in. You will get a sensation within yourself that guides you to the most appropriate next step. But all of that can easily be second-guessed by the mind.
The mind is always wanting to overstep its natural function, and it is your job to keep the mind in check. There is always a place for the intellect and logic, but you are developing yourselves as beings who feel and beings who detect vibrations. You are able to feel into timelines and to connect to future probabilities. The mind can only speculate and deduce.
And so, when you find yourself second-guessing your gut instinct, let your mind know that it still has a place in your world but that it is necessary at times to step back and let the rest of you lead the way. Listening to your feelings and following the guidance they are bringing you is the way that you intended to shift your consciousness into the fifth-dimensional frequency range.

This all seems good and well but the claim that they are aliens is very off putting. You can read more on their website where it really exposes their bizarre beliefs. Any advice on how to handle the situation would be very welcoming!
