Recently I've noticed a lot of "Featured author" posts. Someone also offered to feature one of mine if I would write a new exclusive article for them. This reminded me of a company called "Federated Media" (see picture above) because the landscape starts to look like a federation of publishers who content creators need to strike up deals with. I loved the idea that with some talent, anyone could write an article that "grosses ~$6,000" (I did within a couple of days, and I knew no one here and I wasn't "famous"). I understand that larger account holders want to maximize returns on their accounts. Is this not what curation rewards are about? Is this the direction we want SteemIt to go?
