Where We Are Now

Regardless of the questions as to how we have arrived at where we are with the rewards being so bad, the fact is we are here now. Hopefully those questions will be answered and lessons learned from them for the future. Sure I think there should be more and better communication from Steemit Inc. If it were "my" site you can bet your ass I would be out in force getting the message out that things will be better in x number of days. Heck I would put up a counter on the top next to the Steemit logo showing T-minus so many days to full rewards again!!!

The real problem and danger that we are seeing is a huge shift in momentum. I haven't been here for too long, but even I could tell there was a growing momentum leading up to the hardfork. I know we all like this site and the people on it, however we are here putting in work to be rewarded; and there is nothing wrong with that.

Momentum is a Fickle Mistress!

In physics, momentum is the product of mass times velocity. Here we can see the velocity of posting seems way down. In addition, we all know the mass of the earnings is WAY down. So now we are seeing a loss of momentum.
How often have we seen it in sports. Team A is winning and seems unstoppable, but then there is a bad call, an injury, or even a half time break. What happens - Team B starts a comeback and prevails to victory. There was a break in Team A's momentum. The problem being, sometimes once the elusive momentum is gone, it is hard to get it back! I sincerely hope we can?
