While I was running my scripts for my daily 'Steem Stats Report' today I noticed there were only 4 new accounts created in the last 2 days. See my chart below. My first thought was that it must be a bug in my script, but after some investigation it seems there are really no new accounts being created at this moment.
According to http://steemd.com there are currently 151,063 registered accounts. This is the same as about an hour ago.
Last friday, 3 days ago, there were 150,880 accounts registred. See my last Stats Report from Friday, April 28, 12:00 UTC. I took this number also from steemd.com.
So only 183 new accounts were added in the last 3 days, of which only 4 in the last weekend. I suppose there must be a bug or something in creating a new account.
