For New Members Of Steemit, Here Is What You Can Post About

Hey new user of steemit,

Welcome. Take your shoes off. Get comfortable. How are you liking the site so far? If you haven't, click on the 'submit a story' at the top right of your page and post something. But what you ask? Anything. I mean it, you can post about anything. But as staring at a blank screen can be quiet daunting, here are some ideas to get you started. Just remember to post what you like, that why when you get a high payout for a post you will be getting paid for what you like.

Photography:

This site is great for photographers. If you are a beginner or a veteran, this is a place to share your work. You can post one photo if it is special or post a few if it is part of a trip or outing. You can share your trip to the zoo or museum in a few different posts. You can also share how you took the photo, the camera you used and the editing techniques.

Short Stories, flash fiction, poetry and novels:

This site pays more than a lot of publications. I'm serious. If you get the upvotes you will get paid faster and more than you will for an acceptance. And I'm talking from experience. You can post short stories and flash fiction. You can also post a novel if you prefer longer forms, just make sure you separate it in chapters. A lot of people won't read a novel in one sitting and you are doing yourself a disservice by only making one post for all your work.

Life stories:

We all have them. That funny stories you tell on a Friday night about your date or the day you had at the office. Why not tell them here? If 'reality stars' are getting paid for their stories, why not you? And you can prefect them as you edit and be the hit of the table when you go for drinks with your friends. Just use the #life.

Comics:

Check out @mynameisbrian for examples. He has some funny panel comics that he posts on a regular basis. This site is great for people who want to create webcomics. You can make posts with a few panels or even go longer form and separate your pages into posts if you want.

Instructions:

Are you an expert in something? Let us know. Posts that explain how to do something index well in search sites and you would be bringing some value to this site. It can be for tech, driving, sports, cooking. Whatever you are good at . Let us know what it is and share your techniques.

You can also post your art and your process behind it. When I said anything, I literally meant anything. This site is still growing, so if there isn't a following for your niche then build one. Your work gets indexed on Google.
