If we really love the sea and fishing, it is also because of something that flows in our blood. We lived on the island. The sea is among of destiny which surrounded us from all sides. No matter how is simply and poverty of equipment owned, our fishermen will still go to sea and catching fish.

A few days ago, I passed a small dock, and only used for the place where the fishermen anchor their boats. Usually, they just bring home their catches which is not much. The fish was once sold only to be sufficient their daily life. They, seemingly, impossible to get hold of the high delusion with that kind of work. Yet, I am so sure, they are still dreaming to gain a better living conditions.

The small dock it was situated in the cape, on the outskirts of my town Banda Aceh, Sumatra. The cape called "Ulee Lheuh", which in our language means: heads off; headland escape from the the mainland. That afternoon, when I pass by there, the fishermen were gone to rest, and the location looks deserted, only seen one or two people who were fishing. I observed the situation there, watching the boats anchored.

There, I also saw the boats being made. They themselves are doing everything, from the manufacture of boats and nets, supply various needs required, up to split the waves into the open sea, and then came back with a catch, no matter how amount. If they fail to brought home anything, then they will go again, even up to two times a day ...

If they were asked, whether the work is profitable? They would answer: O enough to live on. And if asked again, would not you wish switching to another profession? They said: we are the fisherman, the first time our eyes open to see the world, we only see the sea in front of us.

So, I can not do anything about that, and when they go home to rest, I just take pictures of their boats that were empty.
