I found something else that was both wild and strange..
Many of us are familiar with that pesky nuisance weed called Dandelion. Others of us see the Dandelion as a wonderful and beneficial plant whose flower, leaves, and roots can be used. Some people try to eliminate every Dandelion from their yard with tools and chemicals and others make wine, coffee substitutes, and tasty salads or dishes from the same plants.
While @papa-pepper was working, he saw a most peculiar sight.
At first, I thought that someone had braided a bunch of Dandelion flowers together. In total, there were fourteen individual flower heads on top. Underneath though, was a giant stem.
This was not what I was expecting. I expected many stems to be woven together underneath rather than one giant stem beneath.
I’m not sure what caused this, or how so many flowers wound up on top of one giant stem, but here it is. Has anyone ever seen a Dandelion like this before? I hadn’t.
