#SundayScentExperience initiated by the @dutchess.
Star Anise a spice native in asia has a sweet mild scent of black licorice. I have this spice hidden away in my spice box also I never knew it is used as an ingredient for essential oils.
Often used in Chinese and Vietnamese dishes it gives a distinct asian flavor.
There are a couple of dishes I know using star anise one is called Beef Pares. It is a stew with sweet taste best served with fried rice dashed with onion leeks and fried garlic. I'll try to share the recipe soon.
Hope you enjoyed the scent I shared today. Again thanks to @dutchess for this awsome challenge.
