'A rainy day is a special gift to readers.' - Amy Miles
And to surfers, Amy.
Rain may not appear very inviting at first glance. It converts the Sea into a dark and wild rollercoaster.
However, a mellow Ocean doesn't make a good surfer. Does it? :-)
Riders In The Storm
Anyone who thinks that sunshine is pure happiness has never surfed in the rain.
It's been quite rough today, but I enjoyed every second of it! I haven't been in the water for a couple of days, so I couldn't wait any longer.
Only a thunderstorm could have impeded my plans.
My kindergarten teacher Rosy already knew: "There is no bad weather, just the wrong clothes."
So first of all I needed to put on my long and thick wet suit.
The water that enters the suit builds a thin layer between body and lycra.
The temperature of that layer increases thanks to the body heat. Like that you keep warm during a certain time and don't start freezing very quickly.
Today's outside temp was about 20 degrees Celsius and water about 22.
I'd always favor a shorty over a long suit since it provides a much better mobility.
Getting your skin tanned while surfing isn't too bad either :-) But hey, summer is already around the corner, so there won't much more days like that.
Difficult roads often lead to beaufitul destinations.
Here's my today's album 📷

That moment when you get out of the water and know "I did it": priceless.
Have a great day, steemians!
Never underestimate your skills and power.

PS: I will have a look at the video footage now. Probably, I can do a short video out of it. Stay tuned :-)
