We decided to further up north of Nikko towards our next destination Kegon Falls. Heard that it was remarkable, and worth to pay a visit, so we move on.
Before departure, we saw there were 2 people standing across the road, holding a big banner at each side, and covering another people inside, who looked like doing his business. I peeped again, ohh they were trimming the grass, the banner was to prevent the small stones so won't hurt the passerby!
Along the way to Kegon falls, the route was narrow and curvy, the weather suddenly changed to cloudy and soon rainy. Gosh.. it was still sunny just a moment ago. Be calm, I told myself. I believe it will back to sunny when arrived later.
When I thought almost reaching, there still a mountain to get over. This route was even more curvy that just now (even more challenging compared to old Genting road), the road was wet, it looked scary. I was sitting at the back afraid of this path but cannot resists opened my eyes to view the beautiful scenery outside.
At last, we had arrived. But outside still drizzling, we looked for a free parking, everyone put on rain coat, hat and umbrella walked to the fall, except me and baby waited in the car feeding.
About 15 minutes later, they walked back with disappointment look at their faces. Due to the rain, the fog was rather thick so everyone can only heard the falls but could not see it!
That was nothing much we can do, so we moved to the nearby Lake Chuzenji. There the rain was almost stopped, so we walked down to enjoy the view and took some pictures. We met a foreign family there, talking in Cantonese who were from Hong Kong.
Looked at the time, it was rather late so we better move on since that hilly route was not safe to drive at night. On the way down hill was different route, again we passed by the curvy road, surprisingly the scenery down hill was not the same at all, we can view the whole mountains range, although I was still afraid but the beautiful scenery still out there!
Layers and layers of mountain, with the mystique fog put on the whole mountain, it looked like a fantasy.
Although it was raining at the latter part of the trip, but with this scenery, it was really worth the trip.
