When the word "Renewable Energy" comes up, an average human will think of power generation/fuels for homes, industries, offices, automobiles etc. But little did we know that Solar power could be used to aid food and crop production through real time application known as "Greenhouse Integrated Photo Volataic Solar Modular Fittings."
Agricultural practice through Greenhouse Powered by solar energy is a rare one, it's a new and revolutionary step in applying modern technology to old systems. This comes as a solution to the Carbon Mono Oxide(Co) pollutions that traditional Greenhouses emits in planting processes which makes the efficiency questionable. Using GIPV- Greenhouse Integrated Photo Voltaic panels to cover/roof the greenhouse structures allows it serve dual functions aside from just providing energy. It supplies the neccessary cover for crops and plants, at the same time enabling adequate photosynthetic processes to take place; A very important process in plant cultivation.
MODE OF OPERATION
Prouction of Energy through the Greenhouse PV Modular fittings is an efficient means, it works by conversion of the solar power into Electric power at the same time; providing required light suitable for Photosynthesis for the plants and crops planted beneath the Solar modules i.e the special solar arrays of panels. This innovation ensures Greenhouse farmers to generate and consume Electrical energy and not at the expense of Agriculture produce.
Energy generated from the GIPV modules could be used to supply electricity to equipments like Sprayers, Sprinklers, Temperature control equipments for certain crops and plants, water pumps, Milking Machines, Shearers etc. A fantastic technology that helps in producing crops and as well supply power using the same "FOOTPRINT" and without affecting the safety of the enviroment(electrocution and sparks) and crop/food production output.
