First off, I want to thank everyone that has ever followed, upvoted, or commented on a @papa-pepper post. Secondly I want to thank everyone else on steemit. Whether you know me or not, just by being here and interacting you are all making this possible, and for that I am grateful!
Honestly, I have never even seen anything close to steemit in my entire life and I am constantly amazed by this community and its members. When I hit 1700 followers yesterday, it blew my mind! According to http://steemwhales.com/?p=1&s=followers that puts me at the 17th highest account for followers! I honestly do not even understand how that happened!
THE INTERESTING DATA
Recently, I came across a post from @stellabelle linked here that included a link to a website made by @mynameisbrian. The site http://steemit.deadfollowers.info/# shows the number of "dead" followers that you have.
Basically you can change the time criteria to see how many of the accounts following yours are actually active. Here is some of the date of the 1700 accounts following @papa-pepper.
ACTIVE IN THE LAST MONTH
At least I have almost 1000 active followers!
ACTIVE IN THE LAST 2 MONTHS
ACTIVE IN THE LAST 3 MONTHS
ACTIVE IN THE LAST 4 MONTHS
As I shared in a recent post. when you've been around steemit as long as I have, you wind up missing some of the users who choose to leave. Thankfully @matthewtiii is back, but so many others may never return.
For all of those who are here and are here to stay, I appreciate you all and I wish that there was more of me to go around. Until we figure out how to do that, I'm glad to see you investing your time on steemit, rather than wasting your time online!
