Well, I guess a members-only lottery, where you have a 1-in-50 chance to win 500 STEEM potentially, EVERY WEEK (as long as you promise to power it all up!), and a members-only curation guild, where you could potentially gain hundreds on a regular basis, is not at all appealing.

Membership requirements were pretty lax ..

• Do you have 500+ STEEM Power
• Do you have a rep 'around' 50?
• Do you post and curate regularly
• Are you willing to contribute 10 STEEM per week to our lottery?
• Will you commit to upvoting the content of fellow members @ 50%, via our upvote bot?
