On the 6th April I enjoyed a good discussion with @andrarchy (our community liaison within the new Marketing Team at Steemit Inc.) about The Steemian e-Magazine.

@andrarchy is a good guy. He does not however, formulate the strategy or, as best I know, decide upon the priorities.
The Steemian is an initiative designed to take the best output of the steemit.com community across platforms and into the hands of the uninitiated. It is an initiative of mine which I believe has a lot of value to the overall Steemit Inc. Concept.

Unfortunately, there are too many factors performing as hindrances: Rewards Pool filling being funded by the community has led to a massive drop in activity and a very sad rise in people leaving the platform both temporarily and permanently.
On the back of the 'experiment' and in the confusing intentions of the on-going whale flagging and down-voting experiences, it seems foolhardy for anyone to expend the amount of time and effort, not to mention money, upon such a project at this time.

Given that I have received no meaningful communication from the 'Marketing' Department from 6th April until now, it seems that they are equally uninspired to support the initiative.
The e-Magazine, The Steemian, will, therefore, be moth-balled for a later time when there is a more reasonable environment in which to launch this publication.

I would like to express my very great thanks, respect and acknowledgement of their considerable support to my team:
@thecryptofiend, @shadowspub, @denmarkguy and @uwelang
Tremendous thanks also to @rigaronib for his development of bespoke icons for the navigation of the publication.
The Steemian is simply being moth-balled; it will re-emerge at a future date when we are experiencing a more conducive set of circumstances.
