TIL that there's an "Unthanksgiving" celebration (National Day Of Mourning)

While most Americans have celebrated Thanksgiving yesterday, many descendants from Native Americans are not that happy about the Holiday.

We all know how how the settlers brutally took away the land from the natives, and killed them, or forced them to work in slavery for them. 

Every year on Thanksgiving, it's also the NATIONAL DAY OF MOURNING:


The takeover of native american land is still one of the biggest and most terrifying genocides of all time. 

We have so much to be thankful for, so let's not forget an entire ethnical group of people that had their homeland taken away from them - the land US citizens now live on
