"Being Intelligent" has become suc a hue topic in today's world.
When we think of intelligence, we often only think of school grades, or other education-based intelligence.
But the psychologist Howard Gardener actually developed a model of 9 different intelligence types.
According to him, you can be intelligence in either of these 9 categories:
- Naturalist (nature smart)
- Musical (sound smart)
- Logical-mathematical (number/reasoning smart)
- Existential (life smart)
- Interpersonal (people smart)
- Bodily-kinesthetic (body smart)
- Linguistic (word smart)
- Intra-personal (self smart)
- Spatial (picture smart)
This is so fascinating to me!
I personally have never been that good at school, but I'm totally the bodily-kinesthetic type.
I have good body control and balance, and have been pursuing sports all my life.
People that are good in sports are often viewed as rather dumb, which had always upset me - but my grades also didn't prove them wrong.
