«The Acropolis of Rhodes» (3 pics)

The monumental complex of the Rhodes acropolis is situated in the park of Monte Smith in the western part of the city of Rhodes, here.

In ancient times the complex united all the sanctuaries, temples and underground storages in a particularly fortified part of the city. Archaeological excavations are still under way in the complex, and now the ruins of the Ancient Temple of Apollo, a stadium and a small amphitheater are available for study.

We arrived at the park in the evening but still there were quite a few tourists there. Here are some photos of this place.
