Hey everyone!
This will be my last post of my Croatia series and it's about the city Dubrovnik.
We took a bus to get down to Dubrovnik from Makarska.
The bus ride should have taken around 3 hours, but it took almost 4 hours because of a problem at the border between
Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The borders are strangely drawn, if you go to Dubrovnik you have to drive a small part in Bosnia and Herzegovina to get there.
Which means, you have to have your passport ready in the bus/car if your going to Dubrovnik.
The thing that delayed our trip was because of one guy that had forgotten his passport in the luggage space.
He went out searching for it but couldn't find it and the bus couldn't leave before it was found.
Well, finally he found his passport and we could carry on our journey to Dubrovnik.
The Walls of Dubrovnik
In the evening we explored the old town inside the walls of Dubrovnik.
The first thing we noticed was how expensive and touristic it was inside the walls.
We were there during off season, I don't wanna even know how crowded it gets during high season!
Otherwise, it was a cozy atmosphere and a lot of beautiful buildings.
You can also find a lot of cats everywhere, even small kittens.

Did you know that many scenes in Game of Thrones were filmed in Dubrovnik?
Me and my girlfriend have seen all the series episodes, so it was very interesting to walk around the city finding familiar places.
The first one we found, maybe the most famous spot, was the place where the walk of shame was filmed.

The next day, we decided to hike up to the small hill Srđ above Dubrovnik. Its height is only 412 metres (1,352 ft).
The hiking trail was in very bad condition, so you have to have good shoes and be careful not to twist your ankle.
You can also take a cabin car to get up there, if you want to.
Up on the hill, you will get beautiful views over the walls and the city.
On the other side of the hill you can see Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The last three pictures were taken during a walk to the nearby city parts Lapad and Babin Kuk.
The middle picture might be familiar if you have watched Game of Thrones!
That was all from our trip to Croatia. Amazing country!
I wanna thank everybody for stopping by!
Have a good day!
