I've been writing about a lot of places that I visited but I forgot to write about one of the most important to me, one of the places of soul in Romania - Bistrita Gorge (RO: Cheile Bistritei). So today's journey is to a place that I visited more than 30 times during the past years. πŸ—»

Bistrita Gorge is located in Horezu, Romania - Valcea County and as touristic attractions you can visit the Bistrita Monastery or two caves that are hidden in the mountains or..just take a walk as the length of the gorge is about 1.5 kilometers which will fascinate with its beauty and wilderness. πŸŒ„

The first cave is called The Bat Cave and nope, it's not the Batman's Cave, haha. To get on here, after you visit the monastery there is a way which leads you to this cave. The 2nd cave is called The Bears Cave which you will find more about it a little later in this post. 🐼

Why is this place so important to me? - because I started visiting this place with my parents since I was a kid and that's how I got more and more addicted to wild places. I've grown up with this place, seeing it when it was known by too little people, when the nature has manifested and there were a few landslides and drought, untill some people started working on keeping this place clean and smooth, making it become a National Park - even a place where people can go on camping. ⛺️

Talking about camping.. In this place I celebrated my full age with important people from my life. As a travel addict I never found myself in celebrating my birthday in a pub or club or something like that..so I decided to go on camping and let people see what this means to me, my lifestyle.. πŸ—Ύ

We started with a little walk in the nature until we arrived at The Bears Cave where we took a lot of pictures and explored the cave. I even tried to scratch with a rock the number 18 - the day when I started celebrating my birthdays into the nature. πŸ‘€

After we are back to our camping base, we get around a camping fire enjoying the silence of the night, saying stories and having fun. πŸ”₯

When the sun is up, there is a new day ready for new memories and stories to be created.. β˜€οΈ

Now that everyone woke up, we take a one last walk into the nature getting ready to head over to home in a few hours. The days spent in Bistrita Gorge passed so fast that we even got a little sad when the time to leave this place is so close..πŸ˜₯

But we have written so many beautiful stories together. There was just the end of the celebration, not of this kind of birthdays. And I'm so grateful for people who stayed during the years, even if there are changes comparing those moments with my current life. 😊
