Recently Cathay Pacific (CX) announced that the world's first hand-crafted bottled beer will be offered to First and Business Class passengers onboard flights between Hong Kong and destinations in the United Kingdom – Heathrow, Gatwick and Manchester. I don't understand why Cathay always promotes new stuff on U.K flights first, anyway I'm so tempted to try how this "Betsy Beer' taste like. I LOVE BEER <3 Especially when it is bottled beer !!
From Cathay Pacific's official website, Betsy Beer, which Cathay Pacific has produced in harness with Hong Kong Beer Co, is special drinks which combine science and traditional brewing methods. This beer is created with a combination of Hong Kong and UK-sourced ingredients, taste great both in the air and on the ground as everyone knows cabin pressure and altitude affects passengers’ taste buds. Sometimes the can beer also tastes super bad when it's not well-chilled, you agree?
Nowadays, there are so many rumors about how bad CX is now like how they cut budgets- a premium airline become a budget airline, or how bad the service quality is (Of course I don't really agree this point of view when compared to many western airlines. Our crews still try to satisfy passengers' needs based on what we have in the aircraft. You know PASSENGERS ARE OUR REAL BOSS!) , promoting Betsy Beer sounds like a new marketing strategy for CX to get its image and attention back. Well, I don't know if it's possible to get the passengers back by a beer, it sounds so attractive though. If you fly to U.K with CX, please try Betsy Beer if you love beer and let me now how it is!!
Cheers to All Beer Lovers!!
