Todgha gorge, a canyon carved through the Atlas mountains, southern Morocco.

Another place and attraction in Morocco is the Todgha Gorge, a canyon carved out of the Atlas mountains by the river Todgha.
Located in Southern Morocco the canyon can be visited from the nearby village Tinerhir.
The reward, cliffs reaching as high as 160 meters, a place to hide from the sun as the surrounding lands get parched.

Starting point of the expedition and the river Todgha.

Inside the canyon,

also known as Todra Gorge, access to the gorge has become easy with asphalted roads leading up to points of expedition and vantage.

Local Berber people make their living selling trinkets to the tourists.

Last stop and hostels before entering the canyon.

Cliffsides,

on my way through the landscape,

the canyon stretches for 40 km's into the Atlas mountains.

An accessible naturalsite, just a small detour from the main road connecting southern Morocco.
