Scenes From Kaiyuan Temple, Wuxi

Kaiyuan Temple is a small Buddhist attraction in Meiyuan Park. This is at the end of Wuxi's Number 2 subway line. The temple it itself seems small, and rather unassuming, especially if you compare it with the grandeur of a sprawling Lingshan complex that also calls Wuxi home. Entrance into the park costs 60 RMB, and entrance into Kaiyuan costs an extra 5 RMB. Here are some scenes

The exterior view is a bit unassuming.

The traditional entrance has the usual guardians. But the paint on them is flaking, and they look like they are in need of restoration. Then there are the usual things to be seen at a temple.

And of course, most temples I have been to in southern Jiangsu have had some sort of renovation or additions being added. Kaiyuan is no different.
