Vacation at Schottburgh - KwaZulu-Natal - Getting there
Finally the 1st of April arrived and it was time for our annual vacation. We met our friends at a filling station at just after 04h00 in the morning as can be seen on the photo above.
Then we hit the long road to the coast.
Below is our first quick pit-stop for coffee and a break for all the travelers.
The next two photos were taken from inside the car while driving to show some of the early morning landscape.
We had an early morning stop for breakfast along the road, below is my wife and my friend's wife busy packing out the food.
A different angle to show the setting of where we were having breakfast.
Coffee, eggs, meatballs, muffins, tomatoes, mango slices etc - delicious.
Then we hit the road again, all the photos below, of the landscape and road, were taken from inside the car while driving.
Pit-stop for filling up the cars with diesel, and a break for the drivers and passengers.
At the filling station they had this old steam engine as decoration, with the old ox-wagon in the photo below the steam engine.
Finally we reached our destination and set up the camp.
Below is the view from our caravan - nice.
Some of our neighbors in the campsite.
Then the sun set after a long day of driving and putting up our camp.
Slowly the night was falling over the ocean.
Then it was time for a nice beer at a nearby restaurant.
My wife had some wine, while I was savoring my beer.
The scene was set for a very nice and enjoyable vacation.
The photos were taken with my iPhone.
Thank you for reading, I hope you enjoyed it.
