[Travel Update] Lisbon has a LOT of street art - LITERARY FACES

This morning I plotted all the street art references I found in different (example) articles on the web on a map and went exploring! If street art is your thing, you definitely should visit Lisbon. Yesterday I already posted a funky Viking with panter in polka dot swimming suit (yes, really) and the crazy eyes following me during a climb of stairs.

Street art in Graça

Today I went to the LX Factory (which probably deserves a dedicated post) and afterward to the Lisbon neighborhood 'Graça'.

An Uber driver took me all the way up in this neighborhood and from there I followed some streets down with the guidance of my map. The first few pieces of street art are as I read in one of the articles of Portuguese poets and writers with a link to the Graça neighborhood.

And they were lovely!

At a close distance of a viewing point that's worth a visit anyway, you'll find a small (well, all streets are small here) alley with a whole wall with gorgeous art. The curls of one man, the smoke of another... They all blend together in the end. Creating one big canvas in the street.

Well, see for yourself!

[The hands in this one are gorgeous. do you see the second face on the left, smoking a cigaret?]

[This one looks like a little angel boy from biblical stories and paintings. If someone knows the reference please let me know! :-)]

From this street, I arrived in bustling shopping streets with 30cm wide pedestrian 'lanes'. I will show the street art I've found here in a separate post - and am planning on a second street art tour coming Thursday. Tomorrow I'll try to visit the Portuguese coast by train from Lisbon!
