Finally, after 4 month back at home in germany we´re off to new adventures. We just arrived in Phuket a few days ago and will spend the next 4 weeks on this beautiful island.
So far we´ve only been around the area where we live in the very south of the Island near Nai Harn Beach. In the upcoming weeks I will show you the most beautiful places on this island.
After 4 month without the ocean you can imagine that our first stop was the beach. Luckily we got a beautiful beach just a stone throw away from our accommodation.
Endlich, nach 4 Monaten wieder zuhause in Deutschland, machen wir uns auf zu neuen Abenteuern. Wir sind vor ein paar Tagen in Phuket angekommen und werden die nächsten 4 Wochen auf dieser wunderschönen Insel verbringen.
Bisher waren wir nur in der Gegend, in der wir leben, im Süden der Insel in der Nähe von Nai Harn Beach. In den nächsten Wochen werde ich euch die schönsten Plätze auf dieser Insel zeigen.
Nach 4 Monaten ohne Meer können ihr euch vorstellen, dass unser erster Halt der Strand war. Zum Glück haben wir einen schönen Strand nur einen Steinwurf von unserer Unterkunft entfernt.
Nai Harn Beach
Nai Harn Beach which lays in the town of Nai Harn is on the southern tip of the island ans one of the most beautiful beaches on the island. Nai Harn is pretty laid back and not that crowded like other beaches on the island.
The beach is about 200m long and during the week there is not much people at the beach, what makes it quite attractive for us. Nothing worse than a crowded beach. There is a lot of shade during the day due to a lot of palm trees in the back.
Nai Harn Beach, der in der Stadt Nai Harn liegt, liegt an der Südspitze der Insel und ist einer der schönsten Strände der Insel. Nai Harn ist ziemlich locker und nicht so voll wie andere Strände auf der Insel.
Der Strand ist ca. 200m lang und unter der Woche sind nicht viele Leute am Strand, was ihn für uns attraktiv macht. Es gibt nichts schlimmeres als einen überfüllten Strand. Es gibt viel Schatten während des Tages wegen der vielen Palmen.
On the way to the beach there is a beautiful lake with lots of trees. In the morning and evening there are many runners, and race bikers around the lake.
Auf dem Weg zum Strand gibt es einen schönen See mit vielen Bäumen. Am Morgen und Abend gibt es viele Läufer und Rennradfahrer rund um den See.
Another reason what makes Phuket beaches attractive, especially for me, is that you can surf there. During the month from april to november it is surfing season on Phuket.
The waves are not that consistent like on other places in this world, but I was surprised as I saw the waves for the first time. I mean it is Thailand and the water has around 29 degree so I won´t complain.
As far as I can tell, Phuket has a small but peaceful surf community and I can not wait to finally borrow a board.
Ein weiterer Grund, warum die Strände von Phuket besonders für mich attraktiv sind, ist, dass man dort surfen kann. Während der Monate von April bis November ist Surfsaison auf Phuket.
Die Wellen sind nicht so konstant wie an anderen Orten dieser Welt, aber ich war überrascht, als ich die Wellen zum ersten Mal sah. Ich meine, es ist Thailand und das Wasser hat etwa 29 Grad, also werde ich mich nicht beschweren.
Soweit ich das bisher beurteilen kann hat Phuket eine kleine aber friedliche Surf community und ich kann es nicht abwarten mir endlich ein Brett auszuleihen.
Promthep Cape
A little bit further south lays the Promthep Cape, the most southern point of Phuket. Another beautiful spot to watch the awesome Thailand sunset.
The only downside is, that if you come to watch the sunset, the place is crowded. Buses full of tourists arrive every evening around 5 pm to watch the sunset.
There also is a tiny Temple with lots of Elephants sculptures. If you visit Phuket you should definitely come here one evening and watch the sunset.
Etwas weiter südlich liegt das Promthep Cape, der südlichste Punkt von Phuket. Ein weiterer schöner Ort, um den atemberaubenden Sonnenuntergang Thailands zu sehen.
Der einzige Nachteil wenn man hier her kommt um den Sonnenuntergang zu sehen ist der, dass dieser Platz Abends total überlaufen ist. Busladungen voll Touristen kommen jeden Abend hierher um den Sonnenuntergang zu sehen.
Es gibt auch einen kleinen Tempel mit vielen Elefanten-Skulpturen. Wenn Sie Phuket besuchen, sollten Sie auf jeden Fall eines Abends hierher kommen und den Sonnenuntergang beobachten.
