Heaven into Desert

Like many years, I also went to Leh this time. This time I was volunteering in an ultra-running event. The event was 480 km running in 120 hours with ascent of almost 10,000 meters. Five days later when I reached Leh, this time also I could not stop myself from roaming here. Leh is situated on 3500 meters from sea level (Jammu & kashmir, North India) known as "Dry Desert". So let me show you friend my journey through pictures.

The symbol of peace "Shanti Stupa"

I first went to Shanti Stupa, weather was clear and the sun was bright. In Shanti stupa, Shanti word is from Hindi language which means "Peace". Like many places in Leh, the whole city, stok mountain range and Khardung Pass (5359 m) could also be seen from here, this mountain pass has the title "Worlds highest motor-able mountain pass".

View from Shey Palace

The next day I went to "Shey Palace", from there "Mato" and "Lato" villages seen. If you ever come to Leh to visit, then you must go to these villages. The people here and the surroundings will make you feel like a different world.
