What Does Tribe Steem Up Mean to Me? A TSU Question

tjryjtyjty.jpg

I posed this question to the TSU community because I recently created a second container for @tribesteemup called @earthtribe, to provide additional membership space for more conscious content creators. Since this second project reflects the same core values as TSU, I felt it would be a great idea to use quotes from TSU member's responses to this question in an ET post for project description purposes. That post should be up on the @earthtribe account within the week.

My Tribe Steem Up journey started in Acapulco, Mexico this past February (2018), during my first year attending the #anarchapulco conference. Although I activated my Steemit account and made my first post back in 2016, I was not able to be an active member of this community until I left the country to get away from my busy life.

When @kennyskitchen (founder of TSU) and @alchemage first helped me open my account and showed me Discord back in '16, I was intimidated and overwhelmed by the learning curve of both services, not to mention the fact that I had to learn how to integrate the two platforms as well. Due to how busy my life was at the time, in combination of intensely working on my album, I was unable to find the time to really sit down and learn how to use these platforms until this year.

@kennyskitchen tried convincing me to attend @anarchapulco for three years, but in 2018 after working and saving for many years, I decided it was time to go way outside of my comfort zone, hike up the money for passports, plane tickets, travel expenses, and jump on a plane with @hempress to Acapulco, Mexico, for what turned out to be one of the most profound life changing events I have ever had the privilege of experiencing.

As soon as we landed, we got to live in La Casa Creativa with Kenny, among many other beautiful humans. After we got settled in, I realized we would have this huge mansion fortress of a hippy castle to ourselves for over a week, so I immediately sat down with Kenny, pulled out my what seemed to be ancient Steemit password off my flash-drive, and he started showing me the ropes. I would never have been able to understand the functionalities of Steemit so quickly and efficiently, without his in person guidance he was able to provide (along with his 2-min Steemit Tips video series). I am forever thankful for Kenny's patience with me, in helping me understand this platform in a timely fashion.

Before I knew it, I was posting articles about the ocean, Acapulco's culture, Hip-Hop, participating in music contest, and once the conference started I just tried to keep up with all the content I was recording and experiencing. I was posting content about #anarchapulco for a full month after I returned to Portland, and was even able to report on the surprise Wu-Tang Clan show that happened there with outstanding videos I recorded.

Finally becoming active on Steemit with a bunch of conscious content while sitting right next to @kennyskitchen, made me an easy choice to become a @tribesteemup member. Back then (as in February of this year) TSU only had a couple thousand SP, and the up-votes I was receiving were only worth a couple bucks at most, but none of that mattered to me. I was just happy to be a part of my homie's project, and to be receiving support of any kind! (I will admit that I did get a little butt-hurt when one of my in depth articles did not receive any attention).

Many deserving TSU members were collected and connected at #anarchapulco, but we did not have any clue just how big this project would get in such a short amount of time. Even just in the month we were in Mexico, the account grew substantially, but as of today, @tribesteemup now officially has over ONE MILLION SP in delegations, mostly thanks to our ever so generous sponsor @jamesc - endless gratitude brother. This kind of structured support system is possible only through your sponsorship. My only hope is that we are doing everything we can to help the Earth, humanity, and other conscious creators with your generosity.

Today I focus on helping the TSU community in any way I can, including managing the tribe when @kennyskitchen is our of town, hosting a TSU design contest and manifesting organic, unbleached, fair trade, chemical free T-shirts with the wining designs, and creating an additional tribe for even more conscious Steemians that deserve support. I want to see all the aware and hard working Steemians unite, really show everyone the best of steemit.com, and achieve the proper rewards that come along with that. With STEEM down, and many people leaving the platform or becoming inactive, this is the perfect time to balance the scales in favor of our collective will, to save our species from self destruction through education of how we are naturally meant to live in harmony with this world.

So back to the original question:

"WHAT DOES @tribesteemup MEAN TO ME?"

Well... I want to say everything, but that is not exactly true. What means the most to me about this community, more than the increased rewards, more than the sheer utility, more than the ridiculous amount of super-conscious content all under one roof, is the community itself. I am absolutely in LOVE with the TSU community - a place where there is no time or energy available for nonsense, drama, or negativity, and where even the stubborn get an education, since everyone is so loving and willing to talk things out, no matter how intense the situation. This group holds a special place in my heart, and is an extremely rare and unique example of collective realism, love, understanding, and intelligence, defeating ignorance, violence, destruction, and greed on a massive scale. The best part is, we win with non-aggression, and are impossible to censor.

Most importantly though, TSU is special to me because I get to help run it with two of my best friends in the whole world. This project would be a lot less meaningful and personal for me in absence of this fact. Success with the support of your homies is much more fulfilling for me than succeeding alone, and is also a huge boost of confidence throughout the whole process. I am also extremely grateful for all the wonderful Steemians I have met through this initiative who I now call my friends, even though most of us have not yet met in person. I will not tag all of you here, but you know who you are, and I love you all from the bottom of my heart.

@tribesteemup in the #3 highest curator on the entire Steemit platform, and I honestly think it will not be long before we are #1! If this platform survives the sh*t-storm it has been thrown into, TSU should serve as a shining beacon of light for the rest of its existence, sitting at the top, guiding everyone to shore safely, and steering them clear of rocky waters. Ultimately, the TSU community could be the deciding factor to save this platform and breath it new life. We should at least be leading that charge. The existence of @tribesteemup to me, means a better, happier world, waking up souls around the globe. TSU is a family... and by definition also a shaman.

Blessings everyone & stay tuned - into the right frequencies
