Ulog Entry # 2 - Living with Roommates

Ulog (6).jpg

Today, I spent the whole day watching a tv series with a story that revolves around being in college and it made me reminisce the times I lived inside the university with my roommates. Some may say living with roommates is really difficult. But for me, living with roommates in the university dormitory made my college days even more fun.

Our typical weekend goes like this: As soon as I open my eyes, there are only two scenarios possible to happen. First, all of us are wide awake but still lying in bed checking our phones. Or second, one is awake already doing laundry or studying while the rest are still lying in bed. Most of the time, I am not the early bird. We eat our breakfast together. If we have nothing to do, we study or watch movies. During the afternoon, we sleep or talk or still watch movie.

Our weekends are spent mostly by talking to each other. We just do the same routine of watching movies, talking, laughing. Sometimes, when I need to go out with my other friends, I don’t eat dinner with them. Still, if we’re not busy we find time to unwind and relax during weekends. Our weekdays however, are busy since we have classes to attend to. Even though we are busy, we still find time to talk at night after studying and even have dinner together.

It is difficult to keep in touch since some of my roommates are not from Cebu but we still find time to catch up with one another. We have traditions such as giving cakes and making banners when it’s somebody’s birthday and exchange gifts during Christmas. Having roommates is one of the best things during college. Even if we are all apart, I know my roommates will always have a place in my heart.

Until next time!
