ULOG #1: SARGE'S WEDNESDAY

Yesterday was a fairly busy day. Most of my days begin around 4:00 to 5:00 am as I am an early riser. When I wake up, I am not one that can stay in the bed.

The day began with, of course, making a pot of coffee. I prefer espresso, which I make in my little espresso pot. It is just large enough to make one mug. Most times though I will be lazy and just use the ever popular drip coffee maker (found mine in a dumpster, cleaned it before use).

Then it was time to watch the local and national news. I watch the local news just out of curiosity as to what is going on here in Pennsylvania. Recently it has been mostly flooding. Sometimes, though, there are some very nice human interest stories.

By the time 8:00 am rolled around, it was time for DemocracyNow which is pretty much my go to for national and world news. It is very hard to find unbiased news reports, but I have found this alternative news show to be not too biased. I also like to laugh, so I checked out to see if John Oliver had any new funny things to comment on concerning the news.

Now that I had had my coffee and news fix, it was time to take a shower and get ready for my horse therapy. There is a wonderful place here in South Central Pennsylvania that offers therapy for at risk youth and Veterans. I have an appointment every Wednesday and look forward to it each week.

My therapist is a lovely woman and of course all of the horses are great and very affectionate. I have most times been with the two minature horses. The female minature they call Silly. Many times I think she is trying to climb into my lap. Then there is another minature that is male. I can not remember his name. Silly, the female, has a crush on a much larger horse I am told. She does seem to react when this large quarter horse comes around.

I spend my time during the therapy, grooming the horses with a brush and talking with them. They are very responsive and of course love being brushed. For the horses and I it is a give and take interaction.

After my sister dropped me home (I have glaucoma which precludes me from being able to drive), I checked my e-mail and checked out the Discord servers and some STEEM posts. While doing so, I saw many posts concerning STEEM Monsters. Well, I starting getting a bit of FOMO (Fear Of Missing Out) and decided to get me some STEEM Monsters. Five dollars does not seem like much, but I felt a bit guilty buying the starter pack. I could have donated that five dollars to charity. Then again, this could be an investment so there we are.

That was pretty much my day. Hoping all of you had a great day yesterday. If not, I am sending you all blessings and groovy vibes towards a better day today!
