Good morning steemit. Another beautiful day is upon us and you know what that means in my world. Green smoothie time. Running a bakery and spending less time at home is no excuse to not start my day with a delicious green drink.
Especially when Moringa is involved. Definitely one of my favorite greens. Since we moved house we had to leave our beautiful moringa tree behind, but we got some new ones growing. Though they grow super fast, it will take a few more months until we have a steady supply.
Luckily we live in a green and tropical country and know a few trees at the edge of the national park. Those have been our new and free source of one of the healthiest and yummiest greens on our planet.
TROPICAL MORINGA AVOCADO SUPER MIX 🌱🥑🌿
INGREDIENTS (SERVES 2)
2-3 cups fresh moringa leaves
1/2 avocado
1 big banana
2-3 passion fruits
2 cups of tropical fruits (I used a mix of papaya, pineapple, and mango)
Water (or unsweetened coconut water) as needed
DIRECTIONS
- Blend water and moringa until smooth. Add all other ingredients and blend again. If you have a high-speed blender you can throw everything in at once. Add more water if needed.
- Optional: Supercharge your smoothie with superfoods such as hemp hearts, chia seeds or goji berries. I used coconut flakes and goji berries this time.
