My Name Is Clueless

It can hurt when people troll comment your YouTube videos. Even when they're wrong. Here's an example. As of this writing, my Hands On with Ethereum video from January (yes, January) has ~7,407 views with 37 upvotes and 10 downvotes.

There are some nice comments and some not so nice ones. The ones that hurt more are the ones where the person making the comment seems to at least kind of know what they're talking about. What really gets me though is when they take time out of their busy lives to nitpick little things and they miss the whole point. Also, when they are just plain wrong or misinformed it is kind of amusing but it can still kind of hurt.
Don't Feed the Trolls

So, I talk casual. Maybe I watch too much Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I'm part the original not-stuck-uppy-talking generation. GENERATION X. Deal with it. I show people how to do really technical stuff, but I try to tune down the details like taking even MORE time to talk about irrelevant details like the project you mentioned (it's irrelevant to the overall discussion).
Buffyspeak (or, how to talk if you are from Generation X)

Also, It's like dude ... I made this video for free. SteemIt didn't exist yet so I wasn't really expecting to earn cash off it either. So, like lay off. Just don't watch it if you think I suck that bad. Oh, and by the way YOU'RE WRONG :p

Anyway, that comment is not really that bad but I have seen worse comments for sure.
Another comment complained at how long the video was. Geez, I'm sorry that I provided almost three hours of free content. It says how long it is right on the video. If you don't want three hours of free content, don't watch it!
OK, so these examples are pretty benign but we have all seen much worse.
As we know YouTube comments can be the cesspool of the interweb in terms of quality.
That's why I recommend you stick it to the YouTuber trolls and tell people they can come to SteemIt if they want to get all up in your grill.
How To Kill Trolls
Step 1) Make a SteemIt post for every video you make.
Step 2) Add info like "Learn more and share feedback at (link to your SteemIt Post).
Step 3) Disable YouTube comments (when YouTube runs on a blockchain with a reputation system I'll turn them on again).
Here's an example from a video used in my recent post.

That way, they need to put their reputation on the line to tell you that you suck.
And hey, maybe they'll learn that producing quality content is a better use of everyone's time and start being a nice troll instead of a jerky one.
That's a Good Troll

YouTube will probably ban me but that's their problem.
Peace out.
