The U.S. Hasn't Had Enough War Yet

The United States currently has the largest military in the world and they have engaged in endless conflict around the globe. They've got hundreds of bases all over the world, it seems once they invade a place that they seldom leave. The country has funneled trillions of dollars toward this endeavor, with politicians asserting that it's their duty to 'secure the future' and 'spread freedom/democracy.'

They Currently Spend Tens of Millions Of Dollars EVERY HOUR On Their Military endeavors.

Just think about that for a second... Think about how much you can accomplish with just 1 million, the lives you could change,... And now times that x10 and that is the amount of money being wasted daily on these conflicts. That's your taxpayer dollars being spent, do you think they are being spent reasonably? I sure don't. It doesn't ease my mind to know that my tax dollars are contributing to the destruction of communities around the world and to the death of many innocent people.

Is There An Agenda?

Some of you might have seen the previous Democracy Now! Interview with retired four-star general Gen. Wesley Clark, where he discussed a number of countries several years ago, and he said U.S. officials had plans to have those nations “taken out.” He said they were: Iraq, Syria, Somalia, Libya, Sudan, Iran, and Yemen. And others have suggested that the U.S. might end up going after nations without a central bank, like Iran, Cuba, North Korea, and others. It's quite possible that the ongoing violence is part of a much bigger plan, and has little to do with any sort of freedom or security for the people.

News this week is that the "anti-establishment candidate" is looking to spend tens of billions more on expanding and strengthening the empire. But for the benefit of who? Because it certainly isn't for the benefit of the people and let me tell you the reasons why.

DETERIORATES THE FAMILY

Ongoing war breaks apart families, it destroys many lives either mentally or physically. There are still tens of thousands of vets today in the U.S. that are suffering and need help, they're broken. But instead of trying to offer them help, officials insist on breaking even more lives. Is it any surprise that those in the military have high rates of domestic abuse and drug/alcohol abuse? Not to mention an alarming suicide rate. It's obvious that for many of them, it's more than difficult to cope with their actions.

Fathers, mothers, children, are pulled away from their families and many lose their lives, and I cannot see any reason for those lives being lost other than pure psychopathy and greed. Many, if not all, military endeavors have been based on profound lies and misinformation that was fed to the public by officials. Is it worth it to lose your life for a lie? These wars that many lose their life over is also against domestic and international law; further deteriorating any justification for it.

COSTS TOO MUCH MONEY

Trillions of dollars has been going toward the overall efforts of the U.S. to police the planet, the nation is currently drowning in debt, and not many seem to mind. Sometimes billions of dollars even goes toward producing tools and weapons that don't ever get used. The current foreign policy of the U.S. is like a black hole, content on swallowing up massive amounts of valuable resources. Imagine what the world might look like, had these tremendous resources gone toward something that was positive.

DESTROYS THE ENVIRONMENT

It's really sad to see the destructive path that has been left behind in many of the places that the U.S. has been. Air, water, and soil are polluted. War leads to the destruction of sacred sites, facilities, residential buildings, hospitals, and other structures, as well as oil fields, chemical spraying, and more. Countless innocent people are killed, animals too are caught in the crossfire, and those who remain after the conflict has 'ended' still face health difficulties for many years to come as a consequence.

THE CONFLICT IS UTTERLY POINTLESS

It's pointless because the actions to allegedly solve the problem, are contributing to furthering and expanding the problem. The current foreign policy of the U.S. breeds conflict overseas and heavily promotes further radicalization because of the senselessness in the violence that has been and continues to be perpetrated upon these regions.

We even have many military veterans, former drone operators, and other military officials etc, coming out and admitting that they are ashamed of their actions in the violence that they perpetrated on many communities. War is an enemy of liberty, for both people at home and abroad, because it brings about instruments like debt, taxes, and armies; these are used to bring the public under the domination of a few.

A Nation Cannot Preserve Freedom In The Midst Of Continual Warfare

We have been using the wrong approach for far too long, and maybe it is time to use our brains when it comes to resolving conflicts, rather than resorting as quick as we can to violent, shock-and-awe tactics. Because those tactics aren't working for the many; they're only for the benefit of a very small few. Let's stop being convinced to inflict violence upon one another because of the manufactured stories of a really small number of people who are only interested in amassing a great deal of power and wealth for themselves.
