While I'm old enough to be classified as a late Gen-X'er instead of a Millennial, I still feel a lot of the disdain and mocking older generations show towards Millennials to be largely misplaced. After all, if they grew up too sheltered and unable to function well in the real world, aren't the parents (and perhaps to a degree the school system) the ones that screwed up? Of course, that doesn't make it any less frustrating whenever one is stuck having to coach one of these poor kids out of a lifetime of helicopter parenting. Or 'pegasus parenting', to use the fantasy/D&D equivalent. 😏
