I'm making fun of my younger self in this strip, as I had really no clue when it came to women and was terrible at approaching them. I had only a few things going for me... the first was I at least knew enough that pick-up lines were a bad idea (I actually had to search under 'worst pick-up lines' to find a suitably bad one for Ash). Two, I tended to listen more than talk, and talking less meant less instances of me putting my foot in my mouth. And three, some of my friends were even worse than I was.... so overall I didn't look too bad by comparison. 😁
