I am privileged to live in one of the world's most beautiful countries!
I live in South Africa. Here in the southern part of Africa we have beautiful animals, beautiful open nature, and we have the most beautiful birds all over. In the area where I live, we still have monkeys living in the trees, and we often have to hide our fruit because these monkeys would come inside and steal the fruit. It is quite amazing to see how these baby monkeys cling to their mother's and how they play with each other.
I see this every day....
We have such a diverse country with so many different races, and all over the world we are called the rainbow nation. A rainbow is such a beautiful symbol, but a rainbow is absolutely the last thing that I would use to describe this country. Because even if I live in the most beautiful country in the world, I also live in the most corrupt country in the world. I live in a country where honesty is not the best policy. Everywhere around us we see corruption, and the whole country is going downhill because of corrupt politicians in charge.
Corruption and dishonesty makes people untrustworthy, and who would ever believe or trust a dishonest person?
How can you believe in someone or something if they show no sign of remorse of their wrongdoings and just continue to make promises that they never intend to keep?
You can say that this is only politics but I would disagree...it is sooooo much more than politics.
I know that every country has its own problems. I know that some politicians are corrupt. I know about all these statements, but I also know that if you put someone in charge who is NOT a leader, then the people will not follow. If there is not someone in charge to take the lead then everyone will start doing their own thing, and that is exactly what is happening in this country today.
If the leader is corrupt, then people WILL follow his example and they will think that it is the norm to do these things. You know the saying...monkey see monkey do?
I am just so sick and tired of everything that is always turned into a racist issue!
Now let me just be clear on one thing. I am not a racist. I believe that there is a place for everyone, and everything under the sun. This situation is NOT about black and white. This situation is NOT about any color whatsoever at all.
This situation is about what is wrong and what is right!
People in South Africa can not stand together. I know that everyone all over the world can see the marches to get rid of our President, but it is exactly those same people that is now marching to get rid of him, that voted for him in the first place.
South Africa is a rainbow nation. Have a look at the colors of the rainbow and see how many colors flow into each other. People have their own beliefs and cultures and it is one of the most difficult things in the world to bring people from different cultures and back rounds together to work together as one.
I would even go so far as to say that it is an impossible task.
If you look at nature, you can see that elephants stick to elephants. Lions, stick to lions and a giraffe sticks to giraffes. They are all animals, but they don't mix. They learn how to live together, but they don't mix.
I have seen this in a class situation. People from similar back rounds, stick together. This is the law of attraction.
There will never be any unity in South Africa.
People can NOT stand together. We can all learn to live together, and we can all give each other a place under the sun...but that, is as far as it will go. If everyone believes that they are right, who will be right at the end of the day?
I am not negative. I don't see that change is possible, but I still hope that there will be some change. This can only happen if people start to respect each other and their beliefs. RESPECT IS EARNED. My heart bleeds for this beautiful country. My beautiful corrupt country.
Until there are some changes I will stay here in my corner. At least I still have the monkeys and the birds...... For our President I only have one thing to say and you can read this in the Bible in Psalm 109:8
