I was nominated by @kotturinn to answer this 10 questions icebreaker questionnaire, so... without further ado, lets break some ice!
1. What supernatural power would you want to have?
The ability to rewind time so that I could cause all kinds of crazy shennanigans. Oh yeah, and pick the right numbers for the lottery in 2012... and then invest it all in BTC and cash it out in Dec 2017. By now I would own a good portion of Hawaii. 😉
2. If you could choose your birth place, where will it be, and why?
Ha ha, the above answer leads straight into this one... I wish I was born in Hawaii. Why? Great surfing. Great reefs for scuba diving, beautiful women, need I say more.
3. If you could go back in time to meet someone from the past, who will it be and why?
Too many to choose from but the two I'll mention are both authors. I think I would like to meet George Orwell. 1984 was one of my favorite books and I'd love to find out from the horses mouth, what dreams 'most strange' colored the world of his imagination. Also, J R R Tolkien, to geek out with him about middle earth.
4. Which childhood memory is your favorite?
My favorite childhood memory is of helping to cut kelp with a crazy Scotsman on the island of Jura in the Hebrides. This is the first memory I have of my deep abiding love of all things underwater. I was 13 years old. My mother's fella at the time lived on a 64 foot sailing yacht called the Silver Gain. In the summer of 1993 we sailed up the north sea to Jura and there was a guy called Zac living there that my mum's fella knew from working on the oil rigs. I can always remember that guy as he lived in a one room shack right next to the jetty and had a crossbow. These sorts of things will impress you big time when you're a 13 year old boy. Anyway, he let me and my friend Jay shoot the crossbow at a pile of wood and even more impressive loaned us a wet suit that he had for when his son visited him from the mainland. We went out duck diving in the bay helping him to cut kelp (seaweed). I could hold my breath a good minute back then and I can still remember holding onto the pier about 4 meters down when a small grey seal swam right up to me and looked me dead in the eye. This is the best memory of my childhood by far.
5. What are the three things you notice in the opposite sex first?
Eyes, boobs and bum. Well... I could have lied and banged on about personality. 😆
6. If Life was music, what song will yours be playing ?
Wait in Vain by Bob Marley.
7. If you were arrested with no explanation, what would your friends and family assume you had done?
Got in a fight defending a friend.
8. In one sentence, how would you sum up the steem platform?
An awesome place to share your creativity.
9. What’s the funniest Wi-Fi name you’ve seen?
BigballsMcgie
10. What’s something your brain tries to make you do and you have to will yourself not to do it?
Always ask the awkward questions. Seriously, even when I don't care about the answer they just jump out at me and it's only now at the age of 38 that I can stop myself from asking those awkward questions. It was a horrible tendency I had to fight when I was younger at parties. 😅
