You may not know, but Anne Frank was a German born Jewish girl who kept a diary during the Nazi occupation of Europe. Her diary shows that she was a very positive thinking young lady, even though she was living in a very terrible time. She and her family emigrated from Germany to the Netherlands where they remained in hiding until their discovery by the Nazis.
After being discovered by the Nazis, Anne was sent to the Bergen-Belzen concentration camp where she eventually died just prior to her 16th birthday. Her father survived and eventually found her diary which was first published in the Netherlands and has since been translated into many languages and is widely read around the world. Below is a short video about Anne Frank's life.
