If you are married to someone who is your friend, I mean if your wife is your friend, it means you guys always discuss issues together in details, if this is the case, then no one needs to regulate the other, both of you would put heads together and make one decision.

The decision will comprise of your both ideas, or at least both of you would see reason why it's the best decision.

But if your wife is not your friend, that is you don't shear things with her nor ask her opinions, you just tell her without good details, then expect her to always try to force her ideas on you.
