You see, my uncle was organizing a trip to go to his house on the river. He invited me and told me that he would invite some friends, and I said okay. My friends arrived at the house and we left for the river. On the way, we told some stories from the past, situations that made us all laugh, since everyone had a very funny anecdote.

Verán, mi tío estaba organizando un viaje para ir a su casa en el río. Me invitó y me dijo que invitaría a unos amigos, y yo le respondí que estaba de acuerdo. Llegaron mis amigos a la casa y partimos hacia el río. En el camino, contábamos algunas historias del pasado, situaciones que nos hacían reír a todos, ya que cada quien tenía una anécdota muy chistosa.

Finally, we arrived at the river and settled in immediately. We left all the luggage in the house and went for a swim in the cool, refreshing river. There, my uncle shared a story from his past, talking about a friend he had who always said he was his best friend. Unfortunately, their paths diverged and they each went their separate ways. Later, however, they met again, and the trust they had was the same as before. My uncle said a phrase that really struck me: "If it is a true friendship, no matter how much time passes, the trust will be the same". And he is very right; if we really have a bond with a person, even if the distance is long, it will not be broken

Finalmente, llegamos al río y nos instalamos de inmediato. Dejamos todo el equipaje en la casa y nos fuimos a bañar en el río fresco y refrescante. Allí, mi tío compartió una historia de su pasado, hablando sobre un amigo que él tenía y que siempre decía que era su mejor amigo. Lamentablemente, sus caminos se separaron y cada uno tomó rumbos diferentes. Sin embargo, más tarde, ellos se volvieron a encontrar, y la confianza que tenían era la misma de antes. Mi tío dijo una frase que me llamó mucho la atención: "Si es una amistad verdadera, no importa cuánto tiempo pase, la confianza será la misma". Y tiene mucha razón; si realmente tenemos un vínculo con una persona, aunque la distancia sea larga, no se romperá.

That story and that phrase that my uncle told me yesterday motivated me to make strong bonds with my friends, so that, if someday we were to move away from each other, the trust would be the same. Throughout life, it is essential to cultivate these friendships, as they are the ones that sustain us in difficult times and celebrate with us the good times. Friendship is a priceless treasure and sometimes, despite time and distance, the connections remain intact. Reflecting on this, I realized that we must strive to maintain that bond, organizing meetings, like yesterday's, to relive those moments and create new memories. Esa historia y esa frase que mi tío contó ayer me motivaron a hacer vínculos fuertes con mis amigos, para que, así, si algún día nos llegáramos a alejar, la confianza sea la misma. A lo largo de la vida, es fundamental cultivar estas amistades, ya que son las que nos sostienen en los momentos difíciles y celebran con nosotros los buenos momentos.
