It's been a month since [the proposal](/hive-147762/@hallmann/the-kingdom-powered-by-hive) was published for the Kingdom's promotion of Hive. On November 1 it was activated. Unfortunately, it does not receive any funding, as we only got 29% of the votes. We were supported by 212 users with the power of almost 11 million HP. In early November, I reduced the budget by half. This did not have any effect. Currently, I estimate the chances of it going beyond the level zero at 0%. Even if it did, we will have too few resources to do everything we planned. That's why for the past week we have not undertaken any activities at KBK to promote the proposal. Instead, we have begun to think hard about what to do next.

Moving?

There have been several suggestions to change the blockchain. Some were completely frivolous (Blurt), others were more serious (Solana). Well, there may be other worlds, but this one is ours! Hive is not an ideal environment, it has its limitations (no smart contracts), but it has become an integral part of KBK. We have been using it since 2018. On top of that, on many different levels. So it's hard to imagine moving. And besides, Hive also has advantages, such as free transfers and its own stablecoin. The key here, however, is the existence of the V4V app, which allows us to easily convert HIVE/HBD into BTC LN. This creates huge opportunities and allows users to avoid exchanges altogether. This is one of the arguments that makes me believe in the development of Hive. So I don't see the point of looking for alternatives.

Value Plan

So since we're not going anywhere and we're continuing to do our job, it's only natural to go back to support with @ValuePlan. I've come across some opinions recently that Hive is not for charity. I do not agree with them. On the contrary, I think it's the best thing Hive can do, because it builds trust. Of course, it has to have some logic. The best situation is when Hive supports the community that uses it. Then you can show it as an interesting case study. KBK is a perfect example of this. It is much easier for us to talk about Hive if we start with the fact that it is a blockchain community that has supported the development of the Kingdom. On top of that, if we treat people to chocolate made from cocoa beans from Ghana and say that we got it from farmers in the village where Hive built a borehole, people become less distrustful. This is crucial, because blockchain is usually associated with scams. So there is no doubt in my mind that “powered by Hive” events are one of the best marketing options, because they build very positive PR. So it would be good to continue them. I just don't know if Value Plan will be able to support them this year, because the funds from the last proposal are almost spent.

Opportunity

Proposal did not pass. However, every situation is an opportunity. I believe that in the end it will be more beneficial for the Kingdom if we solve our own problems first, and only then deal with blockchain marketing. Especially since the natural effect of the development of KBK is that more people know about Hive. In the current situation, we are forced to develop a new formula for some of the events that have so far been “powered by Hive.” Without the support of DHF or Value Plan, there is no way to keep the ceramic workshops completely free. But maybe it's for the better, because the previous rules were based on the desire to promote Hive and were not very beneficial to the Kingdom. Now it will be possible to think on a solution that will bring more benefits and, above all, help maintain the place.

Plan B

The logic of our proposal was: integrate Hive even more with KBK, focus on its greater use, create our own applications, promote KBK in cryptocurrency communities and onboard more people. As a result, Hive's marketing efforts were also expected to have a direct impact on KBK's development and a definite improvement. Thus, the DHF funds were supposed to go to promote Hive and, on occasion, have a positive impact on the Kingdom. However, this is not going to happen. Plan B changes the order. KBK's promotion will be handled first, and Hive will benefit in the process, albeit to a lesser extent than it would with DHF support. As with Plan A, core team action will be key here. It will deal with increasing the visibility of KBK and improving communication. An important goal will be to raise the number of volunteers and take advantage of the City of Krakow's base to which we have access. They will be rewarded with RCRT tokens, so it will also be necessary to strengthen RCRT economy and lengthen the list of rewards. To achieve this it will be necessary to increase the Development Fund. For this purpose, a Power Down has been launched on the @fundacja account. These funds will be at the disposal of the core team. Summary

This year the Kingdom has taken a huge leap forward. This is due to the support we received from Value Plan. It has become the impetus for change. There is no doubt that the process that has been started must not only be continued, but also intensified. This will help us achieve the main goal of stabilization and professionalization more quickly. The beneficiary of the changes indirectly will be Hive, because it is difficult to talk about KBK without mentioning blockchain. Therefore, we are counting on Value Plan to support part of the activities. We hope that for the 10th anniversary of the opening, the Kingdom will function much better than now. Minął miesiąc od opublikowania [proposala](/hive-147762/@hallmann/the-kingdom-powered-by-hive), który dotyczył promocji Hive przez Królestwo. 1 listopada został on aktywowany. Niestety nie otrzymuje żadnych środków, bo mamy tylko 29% głosów. Poparło nas 212 użytkowników z mocą prawie 11 miliona HP. Na początku listopada zredukowałem budżet o połowę. Nie przyniosło to żadnego efektu. Obecnie szanse, że przekroczy poziom zero oceniam na 0%. Nawet gdyby tak się stało, to będziemy mieli zbyt mało środków, by zrobić wszystko to, co zaplanowaliśmy. Dlatego od tygodnia nie podejmujemy w KBK żadnych działań promujących proposal. Zaczęliśmy natomiast intensywnie myśleć co zrobić dalej.

Trudno więc wyobrazić sobie przeprowadzkę. A poza tym Hive ma również zalety, takie jak darmowe przelewy i własny stablecoin. Kluczowe jest tu jednak istnienie aplikacji V4V, która pozwala łatwo zamienić HIVE/HBD na BTC LN. Tworzy to ogromne możliwości i pozwala całkowicie uniknąć giełd. Jest to jeden z argumentów, który sprawia, że wierzę w rozwój Hive. Nie widzę więc sensu szukania alternatyw.

Value Plan

Skoro więc nigdzie się nie ruszamy i robimy dalej swoją robotę, to naturalne jest, aby wrócić do wsparcia @ValuePlan'u. Trafiłem ostatnio na kilka opinii, że Hive nie jest od tego, żeby zajmować się dobroczynnością. Nie zgadzam się z nimi. Przeciwnie - uważam, że to najlepsze co Hive może zrobić, bo buduje zaufanie. Oczywiście musi to mieć jakąś logikę. Najlepsza jest sytuacja, gdy Hive wspiera społeczność, która go używa. Wtedy można pokazać to jako ciekawy case study. KBK jest tego idealnym przykładem. O wiele łatwiej jest nam mówić o Hive jeśli zaczynamy od tego, że jest to blockchainowa społeczność, która wsparła rozwój Królestwa. Jeśli do tego poczęstujemy ludzi czekoladą zrobioną z ziarna kakaowca z Ghany i powiemy, że dostaliśmy to od farmerów z wioski, gdzie Hive wybudował studnię, to ludzie stają się mniej nieufni. Jest to kluczowe, bo blockchain zwykle kojarzy się ze scamem. Nie mam więc wątpliwości, że wydarzenia "powered by Hive" są jedną z najlepszych opcji marketingu, bo budują bardzo pozytywny PR. Dobrze byłoby je więc kontynuować. Nie wiem tylko, czy w tym roku Value Plan będzie w stanie je wspierać, bo środki z ostatniego proposala prawie wydane.

Szansa

Proposal nie przeszedł. Każda sytuacja jest jednak szansą. Uważam, że w ostatecznym rachunku dla Królestwa bardziej korzystne będzie jeśli najpierw rozwiążemy własne problemy, a dopiero potem zajmiemy się blockchainowym marketingiem. Tym bardziej, że naturalnym efektem rozwoju KBK jest to, że więcej osób wie o Hive. W obecnej sytuacji zmuszeni jesteśmy do wypracowania nowej formuły części wydarzeń, które do tej pory były "powered by Hive". Bez wsparcia DHF lub Value Planu nie ma możliwości utrzymania całkowicie darmowych warsztatów ceramicznych. Ale może to i lepiej, bo dotychczasowe zasady wynikały z chęci promocji Hive i nie były zbyt korzystne dla Królestwa. Teraz będzie można pomyśleć na rozwiązaniem, które przyniesie większe korzyści i przede wszystkim pomoże w utrzymaniu miejsca.

Plan B

Logika naszego proposala była następująca: zintegrować jeszcze bardziej Hive z KBK, skupić się na jego większym wykorzystaniu, tworzyć własne aplikacje, promować KBK w środowiskach kryptowalutowych i onboardować więcej osób. W efekcie działania marketingowe Hive miały mieć bezpośredni wpływ również na rozwój KBK i zdecydowaną poprawę sytuacji. Środki z DHF-u miałby więc iść na promocję Hive i przy okazji mieć pozytywny wpływ na Królestwo. Tak się jednak nie stanie. Plan B zmienia kolejność. Najpierw zajmiemy się promocją KBK, a Hive skorzysta przy okazji, choć w mniejszym stopniu niż jakby to miało miejsce ze wsparciem DHF. Tak jak w przypadku planu A kluczowe tutaj będzie działanie zespołu. Zajmie się on zwiększeniem widoczności KBK i poprawą komunikacji. Istotnym celem będzie zwiększenie liczby wolontariuszy i skorzystanie z bazy miasta Krakowa, do której mamy dostęp. Będą oni wynagradzani rycarami, więc trzeba będzie również wzmocnić ekonomię rycarową i wydłużyć listę nagród. Aby to osiągnąć konieczne będzie powiększenie Funduszu Rozwojowego. W tym celu na koncie @fundacja uruchomiony został Power Down. Środki te będą do dyspozycji zespołu. W tym miejscu zachęcam bardzo do upvote'owania codziennych raportów na koncie @krolestwo.

Podsumowanie

W tym roku Królestwo zrobiło ogromny skok do przodu. Wynika to ze wsparcia, które otrzymaliśmy od Value Plan. Stało się ono impulsem do zmian. Nie ma wątpliwości, że proces, który został rozpoczęty trzeba nie tylko kontynuować, ale również zintensyfikować. Dzięki temu szybciej osiągniemy główny cel, którym jest stabilizacja i profesjonalizacja. Beneficjentem zmian pośrednio będzie Hive, bo trudno jest mówić o KBK bez wspominania o blockchainie. Dlatego liczymy na wsparcie części działań przez Value Plan. Mamy nadzieję, że na 10 rocznicę otwarcia, Królestwo będzie funkcjonowało o wiele lepiej niż obecnie. Jest to możliwe!
