**For some time now the genre of videogames that I have been playing the most is the platformer, I think it is a very fun genre and although many of them share the same mechanics, as long as the "jump" factor is well done, it can be a game that can entertain me for a couple of hours. I have been playing several games, some good and excellent that deserve a review, but I haven't taken the time to do it yet, others that are so bad that it is not even worth talking about them, others that are still bad but worth talking about them because they have some interesting aspects that could have been done better and I have even been playing other games that I have previously made their respective Retro Review. But today's game is quite particular, since not only do we control an elephant with a rather strange design, but although it is a more than conventional platform game, it has some aspects that make it an interesting game.**

**The game introduces us to Bruno, a somewhat deformed "elephant" who is worried because his father has not returned home and the reason is because the boss of Bruno's father does not want to let him go home before he finishes doing some paperwork and fix a chaos at work with these papers. Bruno, being so young and worried because his father has not returned home, thinks that he has been kidnapped by aliens, so he sets out to go in search of him and save him. Although it is a game that has the main topic of "go save someone"; I found it quite funny how this game tells a story through the imagination of a "child" making him believe something that really is not so. I don't consider that visually it's the best, but I'm not going to say that it looks bad on screen either, that yes, it is a quite colorful game, especially in its first levels, which are set in Bruno's room, so we will see many elements of childish tone, from toy robots, cubes to build, toy airplanes and more. **There is a wide variety of scenarios and these also have themed enemies that adapt to the environment in which we find ourselves, so there are scenarios based on medieval themes and that can be seen in the aesthetics of the background of the scenarios, in the platforms and as I said before, in the enemies, being able to find dragons and other "elephants" that have costumes of executioners with their respective axes. The design of our protagonist Bruno, despite being a rather rare "elephant", and that his ears are very small compared to a normal elephant, this has a fairly simple design but that fulfills its purpose, it also has a certain level of expressiveness what we adapt to it quite easily. The gameplay maintains all the classic elements of platform games, our protagonist can run and jump, this is the main mechanics of this type of games, but being our protagonist an "elephant", this with its trunk can attract certain objects such as platforms or use its trunk as a weapon at a distance to be able to throw balls towards enemies. Our main objective is to collect the leaves that Bruno's father needs to finish his workday, for this we must explore all the scenarios in his search, as this game moves away a little from the classic games of the platform genre of those who are more linear and brings elements of exploration games. **It is not a difficult game at all, but it is quite entertaining, plus there are fights against final bosses, which are not difficult at all, but a more than entertaining challenge. Like any platform game this also has several items that will help us throughout our adventure, from the classic items that give us extra lives or fill our life bars. Items that by having a certain combination the speed, the distance of Bruno's shot or the height when jumping are improved, with which, although it is not something necessary since, as I said before, it is not such a difficult game, this gives some variety in the gameplay aspect. Also, and this being the best ability of the game, Bruno can transform into a kind of "Superman" which allows him to fly around the stage and be immune for a few seconds. The Ottifants a game that I did not know, a very old and very entertaining game, whose origins come from Germany, created by Otto Waalkes, which was quite popular in his country, being mainly a comic series and later had an animated series. The name Ottifanten comes from the combination of "Otto + Elephants", quite curious this origin of which I found out at the time of finishing this post. **Desde hace algún tiempo el género de videojuegos que más he estado jugado es el de plataformas, me parece que un género de lo más divertido y aunque muchos de ellos comparten las mismas mecánicas, siempre y cuando el factor “salto” esté bien hecho, puede llegar a ser un juego que me entretenga por un par de horas. He estado jugando a varios, algunos buenos y excelentes que merecen una review, pero que aún no he tomado mi tiempo para hacerla, otros que son tan malos que ni vale la pena volver a hablar sobre esos juegos, otros que igual son malos pero valen la pena hablar de ellos porque tienen algunos aspectos interesantes que podrían haber hecho mejor e incluso he estado jugando a otros juegos que anteriormente les he hecho su respectiva Retro Review. Pero el juego de hoy es bastante particular, ya que no solo controlamos a un elefante con un diseño bastante raro, sino que aunque en principio es un juego de plataformas más que convencional, cuenta con algunos aspectos que lo hace un juego interesante.**

**El juego nos presenta a Bruno, un “elefante” algo deforme el cual está preocupado porque su padre no ha vuelto a casa y la razón es porque el jefe del padre de Bruno no lo quiere dejar ir a casa antes que termine de hacer unos papeleos y arregle un caos que hay en el trabajo con dichos papeles. Bruno al ser tan joven y al estar preocupado porque su padre no ha vuelto a casa piensa que ha sido secuestrado por extraterrestres, por lo que se dispone ir en su búsqueda y así poder salvarlo. Aunque es un juego que cuenta con el tópico principal de “ir a salvar a alguien”; me pareció bastante cómico como este juego cuenta una historia a través de la imaginación de un “niño” haciéndolo creer algo que realmente no es así. No considero que visualmente sea lo mejor, pero tampoco voy a decir que se vea mal en pantalla, eso sí, es un juego bastante colorido, especialmente en sus primeros niveles, los cuales están ambientados en la habitación de Bruno, por lo que veremos muchos elementos de tono infantil, desde robots de juguetes, cubos para construir, aviones de juguetes y además. **Hay una amplia variedad de escenarios y estos cuentan además con enemigos temáticos que se adaptan al entorno en el que nos encontremos, por lo que hay escenarios basados temática medieval y eso se puede apreciar en la estética del fondo de los escenarios, en las plataformas y como dije anteriormente, en los enemigos, pudiendo encontrar, dragones y otros “elefantes” que tienen disfraces de verdugos con su respectivas hachas. El diseño de nuestro protagonista Bruno, pese a ser un “elefante” bastante raro, y que sus orejas son muy pequeñas a comparación a un elefante normal, este cuenta con diseño bastante simple pero que cumple con su propósito, además tiene cierto nivel de expresividad lo que nos adaptemos a él con bastante facilidad. **Y las melodías en si son variadas, de ritmos alegres y muy animadas, los cuales hacen que encajen bien en todos los momentos de aventura que viviremos con Bruno. A nivel jugable mantiene todos los elementos más clásicos de los juegos de plataformas, nuestro protagonista podrá correr y saltar, siento este la mecánica principal de este tipo de juegos, pero al ser nuestro protagonista un “elefante”, este con su trompa puede atraer ciertos objetos como plataformas o usar su trompa como arma a distancia al poder lanzar bolas hacia los enemigos. Nuestro principal objetivo es reunir las hojas que el padre de Bruno necesita para terminar su jornada laboral, para ello debemos explorar todos los escenarios en su búsqueda, ya que este juego se aleja un poco de los juegos clásicos del género de plataforma de los que son más lineales y trae elementos de juegos de exploración. **No es un juego para nada difícil, pero sí bastante entretenido, además de que hay luchas contra jefes finales, las cuales tampoco son difíciles del todo, pero si un reto más que entretenido. Como cualquier juego de plataformas este también cuenta con diversos ítems que nos ayudaran a lo largo de nuestra aventura, desde los clásicos ítems que nos otorgan vidas extras o nos llenan las barras de vida. Items que al tener cierta combinación la velocidad, la distancia del disparo de Bruno o la altura al saltar se ven mejoradas, con lo cual, aunque tampoco es que sea algo necesario ya que, como dije anteriormente no es un juego tan difícil, esto le da algo de variedad en el aspecto jugable. También y siendo esta la mejor habilidad del juego, Bruno puede transformarse en una especie de “Superman” lo que le permite volar por el escenario y ser inmune durante algunos segundos. The Ottifants un juego que no conocía, un juego bastante antiguo y muy entretenido, cuyos origines provienen de Alemania, creado por Otto Waalkes, el cual fue bastante popular en su país, siendo principalmente una serie de comics y posteriormente tuvo una serie animada. El nombre de Ottifanten viene de la combinación de “Otto + Elefantes”, bastante curioso este origen del cual me entere de ello al momento de finalizar este post.
