La noche se cayó sobre mi casa con la lentitud de un suspiro. No hubo estruendo, no hubo anuncio, fue simplemente, la electricidad se despidió, y todo quedó envuelto en un velo oscuro (siempre sucede en nuestro país Venezuela), como si el universo me pidiera cerrar los ojos y mirar hacia adentro. Pero no lo hice con miedo, como es de costumbre... Caminé por mi habitación con la certeza de que aún podía encontrar luz. La busqué, no en un aparato, sino en las pequeñas velas que duermen en silencio hasta que se les llama. Encendí una, dos, tres... y cada llama fue un latido más del corazón que no olvida su calor, su centro. Me senté a contemplarlas, y en ese instante sentí algo profundo, **yo también soy fuego, yo también soy luz.** No permitiría que esta oscuridad externa definiera mi descanso, ni mi noche. No sería lo apagado lo que guiara mis pensamientos. Yo misma encendería la energía que me une a lo invisible, a lo sagrado, a lo eterno. Y fue ahí, entre sombras danzantes y calor dorado, donde nació este poema: ### ***“Luz que me nombra”*** *Se fue la luz*, y la casa se volvió un animal dormido, una **cueva callada donde todo respira lento.** Pero no me asusté. La noche, cuando cae de golpe, viene a probar si recordamos el fuego. **Yo recordé.** ✨ Con manos que conocen el gesto antiguo encendí una vela, y luego otra, y otra más… como si cada llama fuese un pensamiento claro que volvía del olvido. *La habitación se llenó de pequeñas lunas tibias,** de sombras suaves que bailaban como cuerpos que no quieren irse del todo. Y entonces comprendí 🔥 **yo no era la oscuridad. Yo era la que la miraba sin rendirse.** *Soy la que guarda luz en la sangre, la que sabe encenderse desde el centro, la que no olvida que el alma también alumbra.* Mi energía no necesita cables, ni motores, ni ruido. Mi energía es un susurro ardiente que vive en mi pecho y despierta con la chispa del querer. **Esta noche no fue negra. Fue dorada. Fue íntima. Fue mía.** Las velas no fueron lámparas, *fueron oraciones, puentes hacia lo que no se apaga.* Y yo, sentada en mi rincón sagrado, comprendí algo que ya sabía, pero que olvidamos en medio del ruido **la luz verdadera no se enciende afuera, la luz verdadera soy yo.** Soy llama que piensa, sombra que aprende, brasa que canta bajito cuando todo lo demás calla. Y si la noche vuelve a quitarme el mundo, volveré a encender mis pequeñas velas, y volveré a decirme: soy luz, soy infinita, soy calor que no se extingue, soy la que enciende la noche, con solo respirar. Una noche sin electricidad. Solo velas, mi energía, y una certeza cálida: yo también ardo. Yo también ilumino. Gracias por leerme! *** Blessings... Night fell upon my house with the slowness of a sigh. There was no roar, no announcement, it was simply the electricity that went out, and everything was wrapped in a dark veil (it always happens in our country, Venezuela), as if the universe were asking me to close my eyes and look within. But I didn't do it out of fear, as usual... I walked around my room, certain that I could still find light. I looked for it, not in a device, but in the small candles that sleep silently until called upon. I lit one, two, three... and each flame was another beat of a heart that never forgets its warmth, its center. I sat down to contemplate them, and in that instant I felt something profound: **I too am fire, I too am light.** I wouldn't allow this external darkness to define my rest, or my night. It wouldn't be the extinguished that would guide my thoughts. I myself would ignite the energy that unites me to the invisible, to the sacred, to the eternal. And it was there, among dancing shadows and golden heat, that this poem was born: ### ***“Light That Names Me”*** *The power went out*, and the house became a sleeping animal, a **silent cave where everything breathes slowly.** But I wasn't scared. Night, when it falls suddenly, comes to test if we remember the fire. **I remembered.** ✨ With hands that know the ancient gesture, I lit a candle, and then another, and another... as if each flame were a clear thought returning from oblivion. *The room was filled with small warm moons,** with soft shadows that danced like bodies that don't want to leave completely. And then I understood 🔥 **I was not the darkness. I was the one who looked at her without surrendering.** *I am the one who keeps light in my blood, the one who knows how to ignite from the center, the one who doesn't forget that the soul also shines.* My energy doesn't need cables, or motors, or noise. My energy is a burning whisper that lives in my chest and awakens with the spark of desire. **This night wasn't black. It was golden. It was intimate. It was mine.** The candles weren't lamps, *they were prayers, bridges to that which never goes out.* And I, sitting in my sacred corner, understood something I already knew, but that we forgot in the midst of the noise. **The true light doesn't light up outside, the true light is me.** I am a flame that thinks, a shadow that learns, an ember that sings softly when all else falls silent. And if night takes the world from me again, I will light my little candles again, and I will tell myself again: I am light, I am infinite, I am heat that never goes out, I am the one who lights up the night, with just a breath.
