This recipe is super simple to make. It would consist of moistening a cake with the typical 3 milks, but here I show you how to make the famous evaporated milk, which is not sold here in Brazil, so I had to improvise with prior knowledge provided by my mom @maricrochets 🩷. Although it may not seem like it, making evaporated milk is one of the simplest things. You should take a liter of milk and place it over low heat. Cook until it evaporates to half a liter. As this happens, a layer of milk will form on top, which you should remove. When you have reached half a liter, it will turn yellowish. Remove from heat and strain it to remove any lumps. This way, we have evaporated milk. Simple, right? Even I was surprised. >Esta receta es super sencilla de realizar consistiría en humedecer un ponque con la típica 3 leches, pero acá te enseño como elaborar la famosa leche evaporada la cual acá en Brasil no venden así que me toco improvisar con previos conocimientos que me brindo m mamá @maricrochets 🩷. >Aunque no lo parezca elaborar leche evaporada es de las cosas más sencillas, debes tomar un litro de leche y colocarlo a fuego lento, cocinar hasta que esta se evapore a medio litro de leche, a medida que esto ocurre en su parte superior se va crear una capa de leche que debes ir retirando y al obtener el medio litro está se va tornar de color amarillento y procedes a retirar del fuego y colarla para así eliminar cualquier grumo en esta, de esta manera tenemos la leche evaporada, sencillo cierto? Incluso yo quedé sorprendida.

Now that we have all our milks, we proceed to mix them over low heat and cook until they boil. This way, we have the milks to moisten our cake. You can add a touch of rum, which gives it a truly exquisite and different flavor. >Ahora que tenemos todas nuestras leches procedemos a mezclarlas a fuego lento y cocinar hasta que hiervan y de esta manera tenemos las leches para humedecer nuestro ponque, le puedes agregar un toque de ron que le da un sabor realmente exquisito y diferente.

The next step is to use a fork to create small holes in our cake so that it can absorb the milk. Add the milk while it's hot so that the cake absorbs it completely. Do this little by little until you have used all the milk in the cake. >Lo siguiente será con ayuda de un tenedor crear pequeños orificios de nuestro ponque para que pueda absorver la leche, la cual es necesario agregar caliente para que el ponque lo absorva en su totalidad, esto lo realizamos poco a poco hasta que obtengamos la totalidad de la leche en el ponque.
