Hello, gamers! While I know this is a movie, it clearly takes part of the Resident Evil videogame saga, so I wanted to do this review here, you're more likely to appreciate it here as gamers you are:3

The story is just another one of the usual video game saga, i.e. an evil guy who creates a virus and biological weapons to sells them to other nations and it is the duty of our heroes to stop him, however this time there is a plus (which at the same time is not very surprising) Rebecca is kidnapped by the villain and hopes to be rescued as soon as possible (this character has always been useless) I have never understood how on earth she was a member of the STARS. >La historia es una más del montón de la saga de videojuegos, es decir, un malvado que crea un virus y armas biológicas y las vende a otras naciones, y es deber de nuestros héroes detenerlo, sin embargo esta vez hay un plus (que a la vez no sorprende mucho que digamos) Rebecca es secuestrada por el villano y espera ser rescatada lo más pronto posible (este personaje siempre ha sido inútil) nunca he entendido como rayos era una miembro de los STARS.

I think what I liked most about the film was the visuals and the fight sequences (although they were often extremely absurd) but I liked the choreography in the fights, considering the level of detail and how complicated it must have been to make these sequences and scenes in the making of the film.

If anything, Rebecca's fragility irritated me, it's desperate, despite being a remarkable scientist, her fighting skills are nil, she can't even save herself from a zombie, and it's unlikely that such a clumsy person would belong to an elite police guild.

And if we talk about filler characters, I think Maria and Diego take the prize, on the one hand, she seems interesting but she has no development, I didn't connect with the character, she's just there to kidnap Rebecca and spread the gas around the city, she doesn't confront anyone, she doesn't contribute anything else to the plot... I don't know, I didn't like her.

>Y si hablamos de personajes de relleno, Creo que María y Diego se llevan el premio, por un lado, ella parece interesante pero no tiene desarrollo, no conecté con el personaje, simplemente está ahí para secuestrar a Rebecca y esparcir el gas por la ciudad, de lejos, no se enfrenta a nadie, no aporta nada más a la trama... no lo sé, no me agradó.

On the other hand, we are introduced to Diego as some kind of huge Tyrant, with an amazing design, in fact in each of his appearances I was waiting for our heroes' fight with this character to happen, but when it finally did, it was a crappy showdown, he was simply relegated to combine with the main villain, and this really comes to be the main villain's fight, not Diego's.

Something similar happens in the Resident Evil 4 game where Salazar is combined with one of his executioners, however it works well given that Salazar has two identical executioners and prior to this event, we had already had a satisfying fight with one of them. In the film, however, it feels rather mediocre.

Another thing that left me a little bad (it's not a flaw as such in the film) is that just as people were infected with the gas spread around the city, in the same way, by gassing the city with the cure, the zombies returned to normal, that's a simple way to end the problem argumentatively speaking, but it generates discomfort, since it means that our heroes were killing infected people with the possibility of a cure all the time. As I said, it's not a flaw but I think it's worth mentioning.

>Otra cosa que me dejó un poco mal (no es un fallo como tal de la peli) es que así como gaseando la ciudad con el virus, la gente se infectaba, asimismo gaseando la ciudad con la cura, los zombies volvían a la normalidad, eso digamos es una forma sencilla de acabar con el problema argumentativamente hablando, pero genera malestar, ya que eso quiere decir que nuestros héroes estuvieron matando personas infectada con posibilidad a una cura todo el tiempo. Another thing I didn't like is that I feel that the film has too much action, but too much, in fact it doesn't generate fear at all, and for being part of a video game saga that belongs to Survival Horror, I think that's a flaw.

Oh! And I didn't like Leon's design either, his hair is dark brown and has latin features, I don't know what's the point of redesigning characters and changing important aspects of their physique, do you want to see a spectacular redesign? just watch and enjoy:

And jokes aside, the movie is quite entertaining but I couldn't call it "good", I think it's a good option to kill the tedium, and well, people, that's all for today's post, I hope you liked it.
