There are some days in office when you have no work at all or may be you just got pissed at your boss — and refuse to work any more. Meh! There’s always a downside slash downtime in life. Whatever that is — - Here is an all-time remedy to have a more gala time at your workplace whilst looking out for your boss at the corner of your eye. Get moving and read this if you are one of them. Disclaimer: Try at your own risk. (Hands-up!) <1> Spread Rumours: Mu-hahahaa!! It’s time to pull some leg or take revenge guys! Target the most erratic character in your office and link him/her to a strange/funny incident, further adding your creativity to it. Make sure you keep a poker face and don’t burst out yourself. <2> Start Bitching: Ah! The most easiest job isn't it?! And especially if you are a female. (Women — M not being a sexist here) :D Anyhoo… start bitching about who is wearing what/ who said what in the meeting/ who is hanging out with whom and WHY? Or probably any other incident that gets you all the dirt! Make sure, you keep it low and avoid any under the belt humor. Once the cat is outta the box, kiss and make-up soon and let the person know it was just for fun-sake. <3> Take Lonnnng Breaks: I know, you would adore doing that at the jump of your one leg! Well, then do it :p <4> Bird Watching or Day-Dreaming: Adjust your chair, recline back, stick a pen in your mouth, gaze toward the ceiling and just dreaamm away!! You could also hang out near your nearest window and watch some ‘REAL’ birds for pastime (@ Men — If you know what I mean :D).. Well..nuff said and done.. lest you’re hit hard on your head by a pen’s cap, that’s when you’ll Snap out! <5> Groom in Every 20 Minutes: Someone rightly said: “Love thyself. What better way to love yourself, when you are in front of a mirror in the washroom.” Take a deep look in the mirror, zoom in and take a more closer look, oh.. wait.. crap you have a zit. No worries.. Grab your clinical accessories as you’ve all day long..No one’s judging/watching you! <6> Stay Foolish, Disturb More: Those are the times when you smile like a fool without a reason. And your smiles are bigger than your reason, which in one way — gets the better of you but definitely leaves your busy-working colleague/friend confused. The idea is simple! Just loiter around on your work floor and stop by the busiest bay and smile like a fool. This will lead people to asking you questions, to which, you can go ahead and ask more silly questions, or say I got to know something about you, which made me smile. <7> Pick Up an Argument for Fun: We all have that hidden talent to argue on a topic that we literally wanted to shout it out loud in a meeting or brag about our point in a group of colleague’s discussion on any topic but never could prove our point right away! However, we’ve it bottled up to vent it out NOW. Decide to grab a ‘BAKRA’ in your office, pick up an old topic randomly with him/her, and deliberately put your point across until they’re pissed off. Bring them to the edge of the chair and then suddenly go subtle. Stick out your tongue, let them know you were bored — ergo the drama, say sorry about that, and leave. :p !! <8> Defragment your computer Hard drive: After the whole day of surfing on the internet and checking out couple of websites to keep yourself busy, when you finally hit your last click on the mouse, you could actually retire out of the rut of this routine in a better way. Here is a smart way to get rid of sitting at your workstation by putting it to work for you. Go to start button of your computer> Programs>Accessories> System Tools and click on ‘Disk Defragment’. Just do it buddy and let it work for you for hours. Chill and go out for shopping in the mean time, while the admin guys work on it :) <9> Pamper your Bay Area: Grab a pair of scissors from the HR department and gather some origami papers to start building your creative paper models/craft items to be able to pin it to your desk boards. You can also work on writing or drawing on the sticky notes, where you can write down your favourite slogans to keep it lively and colorful. That’s bout it. For a change, there’s no humor behind this idea. It’s solely for your fun-time. Go Creative! <10> Pseudo Awake: If you have tried and tested everything listed above and there is nothing that interests you from the above, here is a killer idea — beautifully sketch a pair of eyes on a piece of paper or take a colour print out (with your eyes open) and place those cutouts on your eyes/glasses. Your job’s done here! Grab your chair, recline back comfortably such that the cutting on your eyes look like you’re working ardently, and just go for a loooong nap and chase your dreams. Trust me, this is the last resort, which will definitely work wonders only if you don’t snore! Disclaimer: All the above ideas are not just to read and save it for another day.
