Well for me this is a pretty straight forward answer, I'd prefer a business, I mean why work for someone when you can simply work for yourself. Decide when you'll work, how many hours you put in and the best part is that no one can fire you. The fate of your business and you source of income rests solely in your hands as opposed to when you have a job and anything from a financial crisis to a couple days late to work could lead to your job getting terminated.

It's not like having a job is bad, it's just that these days there's almost no job security in the world unless you're a specialist and even at that if someone better comes along then you'll be out the door faster than you can spell unemployed. Having your own business is totally different, no one can sack you and you get to be the one that fires people if need be.

Obviously starting a business is much harder than getting a job, you'll incure most of the risk of the business, if not all and you'll probably have to put in a lot of capital, but if you ask me it's worth it. There's peace of mind that comes with knowing that nobody but yourself is in control of your source of income and no one can with a flick of his or her fingers make you unemployed.

It's owning a business for me any day but let me say that before I ever decide to start my own business, I'll make sure that I get alot of experience from working under someone so that when time comes for people to work under me I'll know how to handle them.
