What happened since that accident at the back table? And most importantly, how long has it been?

En un comienzo aparecemos en un entorno oscuro e infinito con el G-man frente nuestro, nos dice que nuevamente son solicitados nuestros servicios para posteriormente aparecer dentro de un tren de camino a la ciudad 17 ya apenas llegamos notamos un ambiente opresivo, controles estrictos ¿Qué sucedió desde aquel accidente en back mesa? Y lo más importante ¿Cuánto tiempo ha pasado?

Along the way we will be adapting to the controls and getting to know a little more about the environment around us, being able to appreciate the decadence and the bad treatment of people, we will arrive at Kleiner's laboratory and we will get to know everything that has happened since our disappearance more than 20 years ago.

Our initial objective is to escape from city 17 and try to find some way to solve the current situation of the world, but on the way we will encounter a lot of dangers and enemies which we will have to defeat with the weapons we find along the way.

Nuestro objetivo inicial es escapar de ciudad 17 e intentar encontrar alguna forma de solucionar la situación actual del mundo, pero en el camino nos toparemos con una gran cantidad de peligros y enemigos los cuales tendremos que ir derrotando con lar armas que vayamos encontrando en el camino.

Like its previous installment during our journey we will never feel calm or safe because the soldiers will be constantly nipping at our heels and chasing us I have to say that the action, adventure and terror that transmits this game is excellent for the time in which it came out and both its mechanics and graphics have managed to age very well. It totally highlighted the open spaces in this game, the ability to travel long stretches with a vehicle that give us, despite being a linear game, that feeling of freedom and being able to explore some abandoned houses or points of interest in the route by mere curiosity or wanting to get bullets and health are something that brings a lot.

Al igual que su anterior entrega durante nuestro trayecto nunca nos sentiremos tranquilos o a salvo ya que los soldados estarán pisándonos constantemente los talones y persiguiéndonos tengo que decir que la acción, la aventura y el terror que transmite este juego es excelente para la época en la que salió y tanto sus mecánicas como sus gráficos han logrado envejecer muy bien. Destacó totalmente los espacios abiertos en este juego, la capacidad de recorrer grandes tramos con un vehículo que nos dan, a pesar de ser un juego lineal, esa sensación de libertad y poder explorar algunas casas abandonadas o puntos de interés en el recorrido por mera curiosidad o por querer conseguir balas y salud son algo que le aporta mucho.

Although as a negative point is the delivery that fewer types of alien enemies will face the same as the limited diversity of weapons, which seems strange to me because in the first installment we had presented an extensive universe of enemies and alien weapons, I do not know why this decision was taken, but it was missing this section that is so characteristic of the Half life saga.

Aunque como punto negativo es la entrega que menos tipos de enemigos aliens enfrentaremos al igual que la escasa diversidad de armas, lo cual me parece extraño ya que en la primera entrega nos habían presentado un extenso universo de enemigos y armas alienígenas, desconozco porque se habrá tomado esta decisión, pero hizo en falta este apartado que es tan característico de la saga Half life

Also note that compared to the first game there was a great reduction of ammunition that we can carry as players, but I consider it a success to increase the difficulty a little as it forces us to use other weapons, investigate more to get ammunition and go adapting to the challenges that are presented to us.

También note que en comparación al primer juego hubo una gran reducción de munición que podremos transportar como jugadores, pero lo considero un acierto para aumentar un poco la dificultad ya que nos obliga a utilizar otras armas, investigar más para conseguir munición e irnos adaptando a los retos que se nos presentan.

Its narrative follows the same path as its predecessor, we have virtually no cinematics, but we will learn about the story through dialogue with the characters which I think makes you go deeper into the game and not only have to be attentive to the moments of action and speaking of action that is something that is left over in Half life 2, there were moments that I really felt inside a movie and that is something that all gamers appreciate.

Su narrativa sigue el mismo camino que su predecesor, no contamos prácticamente con cinemáticas, sino que nos iremos enterando de la historia por medio del dialogo con los personajes lo cual yo considero que logra que te adentres más al juego y no solo tengas que estar atento a los momentos de acción y hablando de acción eso es algo que sobra en Half life 2, realmente hubo momentos que me he sentido dentro de una película y eso es algo que aprecian todos los gamers.

My strongest experience, and surely that of many others who played half life 2, was in an abandoned mining town that was sealed due to an epidemic of Headcrabs, many of these creatures to be so long without food mutated into a higher form of hunter to get food more efficiently and those creatures I swear that throughout this area have had me looking at every corner, attentive to every strange sound and armed with the shotgun constantly to shoot them down as soon as I have them in my sights. An experience that I can now say was a lot of fun, but at the time I had to play slowly and patiently so as not to get so stressed.

Mi experiencia más fuerte, y seguro la de muchos otros que jugaron half life 2, fue en una ciudad minera abandonada que fue sellada debido a una epidemia de Headcrabs, muchas de estas criaturas al estar tanto tiempo sin alimento mutaron en una forma superior de cazador para obtener comida más eficientemente y esas criaturas les juro que a lo largo de toda esta zona me han tenido mirando a cada rincón, atento a cada sonido extraño y armado con la escopeta constantemente para derribarlos apenas los tenga en la mira. I really enjoyed the story of this game, its physics, its weapons and enemies, the truth is that I appreciate having given it a chance and spend the time it deserves this iconic game that has marked the history of so many of us, so for my part and if you still have not played it please I ask you to at least add it to your list of pending games because I assure you that you will take a good memory.
